Service Description

Qbtech testing, explicitly referring to the QbTest and QbCheck, is an FDA-cleared computer-based test designed to provide objective data to aid in the diagnosis and treatment evaluation of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). It's an important tool that complements traditional, subjective methods, such as clinical interviews and rating scales. How it Works The test, which takes 15-20 minutes, measures the three core symptoms of ADHD: inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. It's suitable for people aged 6 to 60. Inattention: The test measures a person's ability to focus on a repetitive task by tracking their response time to visual stimuli on a computer screen. Hyperactivity: A motion-tracking camera records a person's physical movements during the test with millimetric precision. Impulsivity: The test records the number of times a person gives an incorrect or premature response. What the Results Show The data collected is compared to a normative control group of people of the same age and sex who do not have ADHD. This comparison helps clinicians: Reduce diagnostic uncertainty: It provides quantifiable evidence to support or rule out an ADHD diagnosis. Monitor treatment: The test can be used to assess how well a treatment, like medication, is working by comparing test results before and after the intervention. Reduce bias: By providing objective data, it helps minimize the potential for age and gender bias, which can sometimes occur with subjective assessments.
